4. Save or protect redundant jobs.
5. Personal gains.
6. Promote subordinates.
7. Fudge/cook books of accounts.
8. Mislead shareholders.
and many more.

Outsourcing is most lucrative in financial services, call center, technology consulting space, technology platform implementaion space and technology product space.

The big companies cut big deals.
